Bioretention Basin Management and Maintenance

The Bio Systems are intended to act as a filtration system for all stormwater runoff. Using a system of filter layers within a sub surface tank structure, stormwater is channeled so that it permeates through these layers, with any sediment or pollutants filtered out before the stormwater outflows into the Council infrastructure, and ultimately waterways or to the ocean.

Dean, through Bioretention Management Australia is offering management and works services to ensure you comply with council regulations (as detailed in the DA) of inspections and maintenance.

Bioretention Management Australia offers the following services:

  • Periodical inspections as per development approvals

  • Detailed reports to stay compliant with DA and operation works approvals

  • Carry out maintenance

  • New design and construction

The frequency of inspections and regular maintenance can vary depending upon the design of the Bio Retention System, but they generally would be required between every 3 - 6 months.
